I moved my class website to Google Sites because Weebly was being blocked at school.

Welcome.
I have been teaching in Sparta since 1992. I taught English, music, science, and art at Englishville High School for 21 years. Maybe you saw my drum students from Englishville in the Sparta Homecoming Parade or performing at Appleview or Ridgeview. In 2013, with the closing of Englishville, I began teaching at Sparta Middle School. I am currently teaching English Language Arts 8.
I have an amazing wife, Jennifer, and two incredible children, Lilliana and Jackson. I love reading (of course) and also camping with my family, playing the drums, and photography.
I grew up in Essexville, Michigan, which is next to Bay City. My family had an onion farm (How cool is that?!!!) until my dad gave it up to become an accountant. My undergraduate degree is from the University of Michigan, and my graduate degree is from Grand Valley State University. I earned my teaching certificate at Saginaw Valley State University. I moved here in 1992 to teach in Sparta.
